An 85-year-old man reported that while he was at home, someone broke in, attacked him, and stole money before fleeing. The elderly man was at his home in the Nicosia district when this happened. He was taken by ambulance to the General Hospital of Nicosia for treatment. Doctors found he had a skull fracture, rib fractures, cuts on his head, swelling, and a bruise around his eye.
