England, 1920s. In the house of a successful publisher, Robert Caplan, a ‘nice little company’ – relatives and close family friends – have gathered. What seems to be a friendly conversation suddenly turns in the wrong direction when the topic of Robert’s brother Martin, who committed suicide a year ago under mysterious circumstances, comes up.
Grasping onto a small lie, the host begins to unravel a whole tangle of lies, revealing the true features and characters of the family members and uncovering the terrible truth …
