30-Year-Old: Arrested in Unrecognized Republic of Northern Cyprus for Attempted Murder – Disputes with the Victim
A 30-year-old Greek Cypriot was arrested in the Unrecognized Republic of Northern Cyprus. He is wanted for the attempted murder of a 32-year-old in Larnaca on Friday, January 23.
The suspect was handed over through the bicommunal committee to the Larnaca CID and will go to the District Court for a detention order. His car was found abandoned in a village in the Famagusta district.
The victim suffered a stab wound to the abdomen and is now hospitalized after surgery. In the suspect’s apartment, police found drugs, items for use and trafficking, and 300 euros. They believe the attack is linked to personal issues.
