The 38th Pan-Cypriot Amateur Theatre Festival wrapped up successfully, delighting audiences from October 6 to November 20, 2025. The performances were filled with joy, emotion, and laughter, leaving a lasting impression on both the stage and in the hearts of spectators across Cyprus.
The Artistic Committee – Stelios Kallistratis, Marian Kyprianou, and Anthi Papaperikleous – shared the Festival results:
Awards for performances at the THOC stage:
- First Prize: Adonis Idaliou Theatre Group for the play “Festen”
- Second Prize: Artego for the play “Girls Shouldn’t Play Football”
- Third Prize: Chalk Theatre Workshop for the play “The Vagina Monologues”
The performances will be repeated on December 3, 4, and 5, 2025, at 8:00 p.m., at the New Stage “Nikos Charalambous” of THOC.
The festival also highlighted impressive performances, groups, and individuals that wowed both audiences and judges. Notable mentions include the Cultural Club OMONOIA Aradippou, the Theatre Group “3rd Bell,” and Peristerona Theatre Group. Creators shone in direction, set design, music, and acting.
The performance “Wanted: A Liar” by the Cultural Club OMONOIA Aradippou stood out and received praise for its amazing stage presence.

Individual Awards:
- Best Actress: Melina Dimitriou (“Our Grandma… Good?”)
- Second Best Actress: Marina Kaskiri (“Sons and Daughters”)
- Best Actor: Christos Charitou (“Dr. Palomero’s Method”)
- Second Best Actor: Panagiotis Christodoulou (“Festen”)

The Award Ceremony will be on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., at THOC’s New Stage.
