Nikola Ioannou is set to leave Sampdoria. The club’s management wants to free up some roster spots. According to the Italian newspaper ‘Il Secolo XIX’, he is at the top of the list for departures. This move is part of a plan to reorganize the team, making Sampdoria more balanced and competitive in the second half of the season.
Several teams are interested in him, but three are serious about signing him. From Italy, Juve Stabia and Modena are keen, along with Pafos from Cyprus.
Ioannou is taking his time to decide. He is looking at all his options. Right now, he seems to prefer going back to Cyprus since Pafos has offered him a great contract and has big goals. However, there’s a gap between what Sampdoria wants and what Pafos is offering for him. If they can agree on a deal, Ioannou could be heading home.
