This weekend, expect rain, chilly temperatures, and snow all over the island.
Rain will pop up here and there, mostly in the southwestern part of the island. Temperatures will stay warmer than usual because cold air is moving away. Winds will pick up again, blowing from the south to southwest, and could get strong to gale force in some areas on Sunday.
Starting Sunday evening, a new low-pressure system will bring widespread rain, especially in the southwestern half of the island and the southwestern Troodos mountain range. The main weather events are likely from Sunday night through Monday, with winds hitting their peak on Sunday night.
In Troodos, it will start raining but will slowly change to snow, with heavy snow accumulation on the highest peaks. By the end of this weather event, snow may reach lower areas. From Monday, a colder air mass will move in, with winds shifting to westerly and northwesterly until Tuesday.

Today, Saturday, the weather is partly cloudy with local showers mainly in the southwest and mountainous areas. Temperatures will be 2 to 4 degrees above normal, reaching 18–21 degrees inland and at coastal areas, and around 4 degrees at Chionistra.
