In Limassol for a Break in Tradition and a Psychological Boost: OMONOIA
OMONOIA is in the final stages of preparation for a challenging away match in Limassol, where on Sunday (23/11) they will face Apollon in the 11th round of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan.
The “greens” aim to continue the positive momentum they experienced during their last two returns after a league break, when they managed to come back strongly and combine their restart with a victory. Another successful reappearance will provide them with the necessary boost ahead of a demanding schedule that lies ahead.
The “Alfamega” has traditionally been one of the toughest venues for OMONOIA. Since the stadium opened, the “greens” have recorded only four victories in 13 encounters, clearly indicating the level of difficulty in these away matches.
Additionally, our team is looking for a way to end a negative mini streak, as in their last four games at “Alfamega,” they have two draws and two losses.
Thus, the goal for Sunday is twofold: to “break” the poor tradition and for OMONOIA to return to Nicosia with a result that will enhance their momentum in the title race.
