Seven people handcuffed and vehicles taken off the road
The Cyprus Police are sending a clear message: illegal activities won’t be tolerated. They carried out thorough checks across all districts last night, leading to seven arrests for robbery, drug offenses, and assaulting a police officer. Some vehicles were also seized during these operations.
In Limassol, two people were arrested for robbery and theft, and one more was taken in for an outstanding warrant. In Larnaca, one person was caught with illegal drugs, while another was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
In Famagusta, one individual was arrested for assaulting a police officer and for traffic violations. Another person was also arrested for drug possession. That night, 39 premises were checked to help prevent crime.
On the roads, over 500 checks were done, leading to more than 90 traffic complaints, including 27 for speeding. As part of the traffic offense investigations, 7 cars were taken.
