Yesterday, police operations in Limassol led to the arrest of two people for domestic violence and bodily harm.
The police are stepping up patrols and checks to keep citizens safe and stop crime. As part of these efforts, officers arrested a total of nine individuals for different offenses.
In Nicosia, two people were arrested: one for staying illegally and another for outstanding fines. In Paphos, two individuals were arrested for assault causing actual bodily harm. Additionally, one person was arrested for illegal stay, another for illegal employment, and one more for having a small amount of drugs.
During the night, police stopped over 220 vehicles for checks and inspected more than 290 people. They also checked 20 locations to prevent crime. From traffic checks, there were 92 complaints about various violations. Officers conducted 80 alcohol tests on drivers, leading to one complaint. Meanwhile, three vehicles were impounded as part of traffic offense investigations.
