The Limassol District Court has held a 28-year-old suspect for eight days. This is part of an investigation into the import and possession of a large amount of cocaine.
The suspect was arrested after a controlled delivery operation. This operation involved two parcels found in postal boxes in Limassol. The Drug Enforcement Unit carried out the operation with help from Greek authorities and the Customs Department.
When inspecting the packages, officers found hidden nylon bags. These bags contained about two kilograms and 160 grams of cocaine. The 28-year-old was taken to Court, which approved the Police’s request to keep him detained.
