LIMASSOL: Clubs and bloodstains lead to the suspects – 12 arrests, including an 18-year-old.
The police in Limassol are looking into a serious violence case involving a clash and injuries. They have arrested 12 people.
The charges include conspiracy to commit a felony, rioting, kidnapping, common assault, causing serious harm, and having offensive weapons. According to the police, around 9 PM on Tuesday, they got reports about an incident in the Agia Zoni area. Officers from the Limassol Police Directorate and CID quickly arrived at the scene. They found bloodstains, a metal object with blood on it, and a pair of shoes.
Later, in an apartment nearby, they discovered 12 individuals. One was an 18-year-old with injuries to his head, legs, and other body parts. An ambulance was called, and the young man was taken to Limassol General Hospital.
So far, investigations show there was a clash involving several people. Three individuals were injured in total. All three went to the hospital for first aid and were later released. During a search of the apartment, two cricket bats with possible blood stains were found and taken as evidence. Judicial arrest warrants were issued for all 12 individuals for further investigation. The Limassol CID is continuing its inquiries.
