The anniversary event of the Nicosia Veterans Football Club, called “When Jerseys Spoke Cypriot,” has been postponed.
The event was set for February 4, 2026, to celebrate 30 years of the club’s activities. A related announcement said the postponement was needed because important football matches for Nicosia teams, Omonia and APOEL, are happening at the same time. Also, the recent mourning of the main sponsor was taken into account as a sign of respect.
The goal of this decision is to hold the event when everyone who supports the Nicosia Veterans Football Club can attend. The new date will be decided by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, who is overseeing the event. A new announcement will be made once this is confirmed.
