Dimitris Maronitis’ story is truly heartbreaking. He was one of the seven young PAOK fans who died in a car accident in Romania. His family faced a tragic blow once again.
His relatives shared on Star that Dimitris lost his father in a traffic accident on the same Romanian road when he was just 12. His dad, a truck driver, died on that road, leaving him an orphan at such a young age.
The 27-year-old was an only child and lived with his mother in Thessaloniki. His family says she is devastated and struggling to handle this double tragedy.
“We lost our brave boy. He left full of joy for the trip and the match, with friends he grew up with,” said a relative, expressing the family’s unbearable pain.
