Drivers are still ignoring the Traffic Code. Police issued 48 speeding fines during yesterday’s checks.
Police reports show over 420 road checks were done, leading to 138 traffic offense complaints. Out of these, 48 were for speeding, which is a major cause of serious and deadly road accidents.
The checks are part of a police plan to prevent traffic accidents and keep citizens safe by enforcing traffic rules. Also, during yesterday’s operations, police arrested two people nationwide for serious crimes and other offenses. At the same time, checks were done at 21 places to stop illegal activities.
