Things are changing quickly after the arrest of a well-known businessman from Larnaca, linked to recent shootings.
Today, the National Betting Authority decided not to renew the Class A Betting Service License for Bookieco Betting Stores Ltd, which is reportedly owned by this businessman.
According to today’s announcement, the National Betting Authority tells players and the public that the Class A license for Bookieco Betting Stores Ltd, with license number A016 and trade name “BookieCo,” expired on February 9, 2026, just two days ago.
This means that starting February 10, 2026, the company cannot offer betting services in Cyprus under the Betting Law of 2019 37(I)/2019. They cannot provide betting services at their locations or through authorized representatives.
