The carnival events in Limassol continue with great enthusiasm today, featuring an evening filled with music, parades, and costumed participants that will flood the historic city center.
The festivities kick off at 7:30 PM with the traditional Evening Carnival Parade under the theme “Nighttime Masquerade Strolls.” The procession will start from Grigoris Afxentiou Square and end at the Medieval Castle Square, bringing the carnival spirit to the city’s streets. The Batukinio percussion group and Limassol Majorettes will participate, led by the Queen of Passion and Madness of the Limassol Carnival, creating a spectacular and impressive scene.
At 8:00 PM, the traditional “Thursday Dance” takes place at the Medieval Castle Square, featuring a concert titled Carnival Reloaded, conducted by Konstantinos Zorpas. Performers Despina Olympiou, Giannis Margaris, Smaragda Diamantidou, and Markella Chatzimitsi will take the stage, offering a program full of popular hits and festive spirit.
After the concert, DJ Mad Max will take over entertainment duties, keeping the excitement going until late at night. Simultaneously, there will be a “Crazy Mask” and “Smart Mask” contest with prizes for the top three costumes, giving carnival-goers a chance to showcase their creativity and humor.
