Larnaca to Ayia Napa: Highway section closes tonight – Timing details
A part of the Larnaca to Ayia Napa highway, near Xylofagou, will close soon for a reenactment of a fatal accident from February 13, 2026.
The British Bases Police say the highway will be closed from 21:00 to 23:00. This closure affects the route to Ayia Napa, between the Ormideia and Xylofagou exits. During the reenactment, traffic will be redirected via the Ormideia to Xylofagou road. Drivers should be careful, follow road signs, and listen to police instructions.
