The match against Dynamo Kyiv will be our second encounter with a Ukrainian team.
The first was Metalist Kharkiv, during the UEFA Europa League playoffs 15 years ago. OMONOIA played well but lost 0-1 at GSP on 19/08/2010 in the first match. In the return match in Kharkiv a week later, we were close to qualifying for the group stage in Europe. We led 0-2 with goals from Leandro and Renhifo, but then we conceded two goals in just five minutes, from the 66th to the 71st minute. The final score was 2-2, which knocked us out.
This Thursday, Dynamo Kyiv will be the second Ukrainian team our club faces in European history.
