There’s a strange pattern showing up in Omonia’s recent games that can’t be ignored.
In 5 out of their last 7 matches, the ‘clover’ has let in goals within the first 20 minutes. This causes stress, pressure, and forces them to chase the score.
Here are the quick goals that hurt us:
Against Krasava – goal in the 7th minute
Against Drita – goal in the 12th minute
Against Pafos – goal in the 15th minute
Against Apoel – goal in the 11th minute
Against Apollon – goal in the 19th minute
In these matches, Omonia got two wins and two draws, but they also faced one loss. This is worrying. It’s not just about the results; it’s about the mental weight on the team from the start.
The greens try to bounce back, but they can’t always turn things around.
The goal is now clear:
More focus, better play from the back, and more energy at the start of each match.
With big games ahead in Cyprus and Europe, Omonia must tighten up those first minutes. Because while matches may not always be decided early… they can often start to slip away from there.
