Omonia sent him home with a dismissal notice.
Right after Omonia beat Dynamo Kyiv, the Ukrainian team fired their coach.
The game ended around 9:30 PM, and within 180 minutes, the club announced they were parting ways with Dynamo’s coach.
They quickly sent Aleksandr Sofkovski home and gave the ‘keys’ to under-19 team coach, Ihor Kostyuk.
Kostyuk will be the interim coach until they find a new head coach to replace Sofkovski.
The loss to Berg’s team was the last match for the former great goalkeeper of Ukraine’s team on Dynamo’s bench. The club seemed ready for this and showed him the door right away, handing him his dismissal notice without delay.
