The festive spirit is alive in the capital! For the second year, the Municipality of Nicosia and OPAP Cyprus team up for “A Gift in the Box, Together with the Child.”
This initiative aims to collect gifts for children who need them most, bringing joy and hope to families. Four large festive boxes are set up in central spots across each district of Nicosia. Everyone is invited to fill them with toys and gifts—new or gently used in great condition.
Parents can bring their kids to these locations, sharing the joy of giving and showing them what solidarity means. It’s a wonderful way for children to learn that Christmas is not just about receiving but also about giving. The campaign supports the Municipality’s social work and highlights the importance of community, turning each box into a symbol of love and support.
