Actor Alberto Eskenazi, who recently fought a serious illness, has passed away. He made a lasting impact on Greek theater and television.
Alberto Eskenazi’s death creates a big gap in the Greek artistic community. He was an actor known for his dedication, passion, and many talents in theater, TV, and film. Born in Thessaloniki with Jewish roots, he studied acting at the National Theatre. From 1976 until recently, he shone in many important performances and TV shows.
A key moment in his career was the 1988 video film The Road to Glory – The Star. He also stood out in series like The Notary and Light of the Morning Star. Besides acting, he started his own theater company and school. He even got involved in politics, running for the European elections in 2024.
His family – son Leon and daughter Sarah – along with his work with great actors like Kostas Kazakos and Jenny Karezi, leave behind a rich legacy. We will remember him through his performances and love for art.
