The boards of the AEK Association and the AEK company released a joint statement about recent events.
Here’s what the ‘yellow-greens’ said:
“The Board of Directors of the AEK Larnaca Association and AEK LARNACA FC LTD want to inform everyone that, working together and responsibly, they are managing the club’s affairs during this time.
This decision aims to keep AEK stable and running smoothly. It also helps with a smooth transition for the upcoming General Assemblies of both the Association and the Company, as their rules require.
The members of both boards, who have been part of the management under President Andreas Karapatakis, will continue to work together and responsibly for the club. The goals set at the start of the season remain unchanged, and efforts to achieve them continue.
They want to make it clear that none of the current members plans to take on a leading role beyond this teamwork. No one is looking to lead any future initiatives for the club.
The shared goal is to keep AEK’s large family united and ensure a smooth administrative transition through democratic processes.
We also ask AEK’s fans to stay updated only through official club announcements. Please avoid believing any rumors or false information, as this can harm our unity — which is our main concern right now.
AEK is a family and will always come first for all of us.”
