Yesterday afternoon, AEL sent a strong letter to the Cyprus Football Association (CFA) board. It accused sports judge Aristotelis Bryonidis.
AEL is asking for his resignation. They believe he is not fit to deliver justice in football…
In their letter, they highlight:
“AEL must point out that in similar cases involving our club, Disciplinary Regulations have been applied strictly and immediately, without any leniency. This ongoing difference in how clubs are treated can no longer be seen as coincidental. It raises serious equality concerns, which directly impacts the credibility of disciplinary justice in Cypriot football.”
After the Limassol team’s management spoke out against Bryonidis, several questions arise:
– Will the serious accusations from AEL affect him?
– Will the Federation’s leadership care enough to discuss Bryonidis’s future?
– And finally, will AEL find more “allies” in their push to remove the sports judge?
