The Court of Appeal recently criticized Aristotelis Bryonidis for being inconsistent in his decisions.
AEL’s main complaint is that some teams face harsher treatment while others get favored. This was highlighted by AEL’s president during a press conference last month about Bryonidis’ penalty decision for the match against Apollon.
Last night, AEL’s administrative leader received a financial penalty for comments made about the sports judge during that press conference. Many were surprised that Aristotelis Bryonidis did not judge ‘KK’ (as noted in the KOP information bulletin); instead, deputy sports judge Andreas Petsas did.
AEL claims they had no idea Bryonidis had an assistant, or rather, a deputy.
There are rumors within the Federation that they might replace Bryonidis, and this lawyer could be his successor.
It seems both AEL and other teams believe the sports judge is no longer effective due to his frequent wrong and inconsistent decisions. They need to come together and officially demand his removal instead of just making loud statements in press conferences and shows…
