More and more minors are using artificial intelligence, and it’s becoming a big problem. This comes after the Limassol Juvenile Court gave suspended sentences to two high school students for making and sharing pornographic material.

The two students admitted they used AI apps to create inappropriate images, putting the faces of classmates and a teacher on them. They shared this material in student groups, which led to quick action from the school and authorities.

The Court sentenced them to 12 and 9 months in prison, but these sentences are suspended for three years. They also have to follow some rules, like supervision and doing community service.

This case shows the risks of minors using artificial intelligence without control. It can seriously affect victims both mentally and socially.

Authorities stress the need to improve prevention and awareness about online behavior. They believe quick responses from schools and the justice system are key to tackling these issues.
