For the first time in its 13-year history, the Animal Party Cyprus has decided to team up with a “new, independent, and non-parliamentary political formation” for the 2026 parliamentary elections. This decision was made unanimously by the Political Committee.
The announcement says that the party is choosing “with institutional responsibility and clear political will” to create a new path that “honors the institutions of democracy and safeguards the country’s future.” It points out that society is tired of “disregard, shadows, and burdens of an old political model.” People want politics that are free from entanglement and privileges, focusing on transparency, accountability, and real service to citizens.
This collaboration aims for a “green, modern, and dignified Cyprus.” The political program will focus on people, animals, and nature—three key pillars that define the quality of life and culture in the country.
The official presentation of this collaboration will happen on Wednesday, December 3rd, at 11:00, at the Journalistic Center. The leaders of both groups will share their vision and main program points.
