One big issue for Apollon’s community is renewing contracts for key footballers who really make a difference.
One of the team captains, Josef Kvida, is seen as a leader. Fans believe he must stay with the ‘blue and whites’ at all costs. They also have a good opinion of Gaetan Weissbeck.
When asked about these two players and the renewal situation, Nikos Kirzis didn’t want to name anyone specific. But he did say they will do everything they can to keep the players they want.
Specifically, the president of Apollon’s football company said:
“A new coach has arrived, and I needed to give him time to assess his roster. We have a long way to go, and negotiations have started with several players. We will do everything possible to keep those who are necessary for the team.”
