The Lady players remember December 7, 1975, when Aris’ caretaker gave them jerseys for a match against Apollon in Limassol.
They needed different colored jerseys because theirs were too similar to Apollon’s, which could lead to a forfeit.
This moment was celebrated yesterday during Anorthosis’ 115th anniversary at ‘Monte Caputo’ in Limassol.
Stefanos Lysandrou, a former captain of the Lady, attended and handed the historic jersey to an Aris representative.
The Aris football club was also present at the event. A few months ago, the team’s owner donated 50,000 euros to support the Varosha team.
