He’s a 21-year-old left-back from Azerbaijan. He can also play as a center-back and is currently with Shamaki.
Specifically, the report states:
“Aris is looking at another Azerbaijani defender. The player they want is Rufat Abbasov from Shamaki. The Cypriots wanted to add him to their team during this transfer window, but some issues stopped the move. The Limassol club plans to try again to get Abbasov in the summer. It’s worth noting that Aris had also shown interest in Karabakh defender Abbas Huseynov, who turned down their offer.”
