The German Medical Institute sends a message of unity to all Limassol fans for the 15th voluntary blood donation event.
The CEO, Professor Nikos Zamboglou, invites fans from all city teams to put aside their football rivalries. He encourages everyone to come together for a common goal: donating blood to those in need.
In an interview with Channel 6, Professor Zamboglou said, “No matter how passionately we support our teams, what defines us as a society is solidarity towards our fellow humans.” He stressed that humanitarian issues should not divide us.
This blood donation is open to all Limassol fans – from AEL, Apollon, and Aris to Karmiotissa and every other team. Fans are encouraged to wear their jerseys, showing that “when it comes to solidarity, we are all together.”
This 15th blood donation is supported by the city’s sports clubs, representing a united effort from Limassol. Plus, participants can enter a draw for a prize trip for two to Athens, including a weekend stay in a central hotel.
The blood donation will happen on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 14:00 to 17:00 at Day Care Unit 2, at the German Oncology Center. For more information, call 25 208600.
