A mother has made a serious complaint about a public bus driver, shared by ANT1. She said the driver kicked her son, who has a disability, off the bus because he asked to turn off the heating.
The mother explained that her son has hearing loss and can travel for free on the bus. He was on his way to a doctor’s appointment at Nicosia General Hospital. The bus driver had the heating on, which made the young man feel uncomfortable and, as his mother said, he started to struggle to breathe.
The son sent a message on his phone to the driver, asking him to turn off the heating. According to the mother, the driver got angry, stopped in the middle of the road, and told her son to get off at a place he didn’t know. “My son was dizzy and did not react,” his mother said. Using GPS on his phone, he managed to find his way to another bus back to Paphos.
