Journalists, presenters, and former politicians who love the Carnival attracted attention with their disguises, offering moments of laughter and excitement to the visitors.
Once again this year, the Carnival had a special flair, with recognizable figures from television, the theatrical stage, and politics dressing up with imagination and zest for the occasion.
MARINA PHILIPPIDOU
Known for her temperament and her genuine, authentic “madness,” Limassol native Marina Philippidou could not be missing from the Limassol Carnival. With verve, grace, and inexhaustible energy, as only she knows how, she gave her own color to the city’s great celebration, proving once again that she is a child of fun and tradition.
KATERINA CHARALAMBOUS
As a true Limassolian, the presenter and journalist of the semi-governmental channel, Katerina Charalambous, is present every year at the Limassol parade.
LOUIS PATSALIDES – ASTERO KYPRIANOU
Louis Patsalides and Astero Kyprianou could not be missing from this year’s Carnival either. The matching and beloved couple, always together, carries the same “madness” that makes them particularly likable to the public. Stand-up comedian Louis and actress Astero know well what suits them, proving that, as the saying goes, “the pot rolled and found its lid” (they are a perfect match).
EMILY YIOLITIS
Emily Yiolitis loves costumes and the Carnival, and she makes sure to prove it practically every year. She chooses accessible costumes with style and finesse, balancing between fun and elegance—just as suits her. With a discreet presence but a clear festive mood, she leaves her own mark on the great carnival tradition.
MARIA TSIAKKA
Мария Циакка, дочь Кристины Павлиду и Йоргоса Циаккаса, похоже, унаследовала талант и юмор своих родителей. Для карнавала в этом году она выбрала образ телеперсонажа, оставившего след в эпохе, — роль, которую с большим успехом исполняла ее мать. ТРИФОНАС МОДЕСТУ

CONSTANTINOS CONSTANTINOU
The journalist and presenter chose not to dress up as an… MP this year—even though he is a candidate in the upcoming parliamentary elections with AKEL. Instead, he put politics aside and preferred to dress as Pocahontas, participating with gusto in the grand carnival parade of Limassol.
SYLVIA MAVROPOULOU
Sylvia Mavropoulou is well-known in the fashion world and knows well what style means, as she often collaborates with companies promoting branded clothing. Even at the Carnival, she proved that finesse is not lost behind a costume. With a polished appearance and aesthetics that stand out, she showed that fashion can be ideally combined with disguises without losing its character and identity.
CONSTANTINOS IASONOS
Although it wasn’t immediately apparent exactly what his disguise represented, the result is deemed successful. The disguise was so complete that for a few seconds, many found it difficult to recognize that behind the costume was indeed the journalist.
YIOTA DAMIANOU
Yiota Damianou was in her place of origin, Polygyros, where she presented the carnival events. For the occasion, she chose to dress as Little Red Riding Hood, a choice that—admittedly—suited her perfectly, winning smiles and positive comments.
