The anniversary event celebrating 20 years of the Christina A. Apostolou Foundation, called “Love – Offering – Humanity,” was a huge success in Larnaca.
In a full hall, members, friends, and supporters of the Foundation showed their gratitude for the work that has changed the lives of over 600 families, especially children and families needing treatment abroad.
Key speakers included His Eminence Metropolitan Nektarios of Kition, Health Minister Neophytos Charalambides, Education Minister Dr. Athena Michaelidou, Deputy Minister of Social Welfare Klea Hadjistefanou Papaellina, former European Commissioner Stella Kyriakidou, and Honorary President of OSAK Marios Kouloumas.
Andreas Apostolou, Member of Parliament and Vice President of the Foundation, pointed out that “the Foundation was not created for Christina but with Christina.” He stressed that love, humility, and giving continue to guide the Foundation’s actions.

The event wrapped up with honors for Ms. Stella Kyriakidou and Mr. Marios Kouloumas, sending a strong message of love, giving, and community support.
They also announced plans for 2026, like improving services for cancer patients in Larnaca District, setting up a Daily Care Unit for Cancer Patients at Larnaca General Hospital, and helping children and families in Pediatric Oncology through a partnership with the Cyprus Association of Parents and Friends of Pediatric Oncology Unit.

The Foundation honors the memory of Christina A. Apostolou who passed away at 44 on January 1, 2006, after a long fight with cancer.
