On Christmas Day, expect partly cloudy skies with some local showers and isolated thunderstorms. These storms will mainly happen from midday to early afternoon. Some may bring hail, and higher elevations in Troodos could see snow or sleet. Winds will mostly come from the northeast to southeast, then shift to northwest in the west, blowing light to moderate at 3–4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures will hit 19 degrees inland, 20 degrees on the coast, and 12 degrees in the mountains.
At night, the weather will stay partly cloudy. Winds will mainly shift to northwesterly, light and sometimes moderate at 3–4 Beaufort, while the sea remains slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to 8 degrees inland, 11 degrees on the coast, and 3 degrees in the higher mountains, where frost may occur locally.
On Friday and Saturday, expect partly cloudy weather with some rain and possible isolated thunderstorms. Snow or sleet could also happen in the higher mountains. On Sunday, there will be more cloud cover at times. Temperatures will stay similar until Saturday but will drop on Sunday, getting closer to average climatic values.
