In a post, Mr. Christofides thanked the doctors and nurses at the General Hospital for their great care. He especially mentioned doctors Athos Georgiou and Vasilis Vasileiadis.
“This surgery will keep me down for a bit. But just for a little while! I’m already counting the hours until I can get back to work. Thankfully, everything seems to have gone well. It wasn’t too serious after all. As we say in my village, ‘they patched us up and sent us on our way!’ I truly thank the doctors and nurses at our General Hospital for their professionalism and care. Especially my friends, doctors Athos Georgiou and Vasilis Vasileiadis. Soon, we will continue our efforts together again.”
He mentioned that he will soon get back to his normal activities and political work.
