Cyprus is set for a change in weather over the Clean Monday holiday period, with local rain and possible isolated thunderstorms across several areas. Meteorological officer Iasonas Christodoulou said Saturday will begin mostly clear, with increasing cloud later and only limited showers, mainly in mountainous and northern districts.
On Sunday, conditions are expected to become more unsettled, first across the western half of the island and later elsewhere. Snow or sleet remains possible on the highest Troodos peaks. A similar pattern is forecast for Clean Monday: lighter, isolated showers in the morning, followed by broader rain and isolated thunderstorms from midday onward.
Temperatures are expected to rise to around 21–22°C inland and on the coast on Saturday, then fall to around 18°C on Sunday and near 17°C on Monday. A slight increase is forecast for Tuesday.
