The region is currently under a weak high-pressure system. Starting Saturday, a weak low-pressure system will take over. This morning, expect more clouds and a chance of light showers in the mountains and southeast. Snow might fall on the highest peaks of Troodos. After that, the weather will clear up nicely.
Winds will mainly come from the northeast, blowing moderately to strongly at 4–5 Beaufort. The sea will be a bit rough in the west and rougher in other coastal areas. Temperatures will reach about 17 degrees inland, 19 on the coast, and 6 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight, the weather will stay mostly clear. Winds will calm down, shifting from northwest to northeast at 3–4 Beaufort. The sea will slowly become calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to 8 degrees inland, 10 on the coast, and 2 degrees in the higher mountains, with a chance of local frost.
On Thursday and Friday, expect more clouds at times, but no major weather events. On Saturday, clouds will increase again, with partial cloudiness and a chance of isolated showers in the afternoon.
The temperature will rise on Thursday and stay nearly the same until Saturday, hovering slightly above normal for this time of year.
