Closed Roads in Larnaca Due to Radisson Blu International Marathon
Today, Sunday, November 16, 2025, the city and district of Larnaca are under traffic regulations due to the eighth consecutive edition of the Radisson Blu International Marathon.
As part of the event, extensive road closures and traffic regulations were implemented early this morning, affecting both the center of Larnaca and the coastal front, as well as the road network leading to the airport and Dekelia.
From 6:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., the following roads will be closed to traffic due to the Radisson Blu International Marathon: Athinon Avenue at its junction with Archbishop Makarios III Avenue; Zenonos Kitieos Street, Zenonos Pieridis Street, Armenian Church Street, and a section of Ermou Street from Ermou Square to Achilleas Theodoulou Square; Nikolaos Rossos Street and Mehmet Ali Street up to their junction with Um Haram, as well as Um Haram up to its junction with Euxinou Pontou.
Piale Pasha and Tasos Mitsopoulos Avenue; one direction of Artemis Avenue from the traffic lights at Tasos Mitsopoulos Avenue to Larnaca Airport. At this point, a special traffic regulation is in effect, with one lane of Artemis Avenue operating as a two-way street, assisted by the Police.
The road from Artemis Avenue towards the Hala Sultan Tekke Mosque, as well as the road from the Control Tower roundabout to the Airport roundabout.
Additionally, from 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Archbishop Makarios III Avenue, Tasos Papadopoulos Avenue, and Dimitris Christofias Avenue remain closed up to B3 (Dekelia Road), along with road sections from the Larnaca Nautical Club roundabout to the Voroklini Fire Station roundabout.
The direction from and towards Dekelia to Larnaca, from Voroklini Fire Station to the Livadia roundabout (American University), is closed, while the Livadia roundabout remains closed in both directions. Furthermore, from 6:00 a.m. until 1:15 p.m., Archbishop Makarios III Avenue will be closed up to its junction with Archbishop Kyprianos (traffic lights).
The organizers and the Police urge the public to show understanding, plan their travels in advance, and follow the instructions of police officers and traffic wardens present at the regulation points.
