Today, we’re seeing a change in the weather. Expect more clouds and a chance of light showers, especially in the western and northern parts of the island and in the mountains. Winds will be light at first, then shift from southwesterly to northwesterly. The sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will hit 16 degrees Celsius inland, around 18 on the coast, and 7 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight, it will stay mostly cloudy with a few local showers possible in the west. In the higher mountains, sleet could happen. Winds will come from the northwest to northeast and will be light. Temperatures will drop to 6 degrees Celsius inland, about 9 on the coast, and 1 degree in the higher mountains, where some frost is expected.
On Saturday, we can expect local showers and some snowfall in the higher mountains, mainly in the evening. Sunday will bring unstable weather with isolated showers in the southwest and snow in the mountains. Similar weather might continue into Monday.
Temperatures will drop noticeably by Sunday and stay below average for this time of year through Monday. The snow depth at Chionistra is currently at 28 centimeters.
