The power outage on Tseriou Avenue is not linked to the other outages nearby. It happened because a contractor cut a cable belonging to the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC).
Power has been restored in the affected areas using alternative sources. But with low temperatures and high electricity demand, the EAC asks residents to limit their usage to essentials and save energy from now until midnight.
EAC crews are working hard to fully restore power and fix the damage. The areas affected include Engomi, Agios Dometios, Archangelos, Acropolis, part of Strovolos, and Lakatamia.
