This morning, there was some confusion at the old port of Limassol during the Epiphany water blessing ceremony. The cross was not given to the priest after the dive.

Police are looking into reports that an unknown man retrieved the cross on his third try. He spoke broken Greek and was standing away from the ceremony.
This person left without giving back the cross, which led to a quick call to the Police. Authorities think the cross might have been stolen. They are investigating, collecting witness statements, and reviewing video footage from the area.
