Cyclone «Byron» is wrapping up its strongest effects today and tomorrow, bringing the first snow to Troodos.
The Meteorological Service says there might be sleet or snow on the highest peaks of Troodos. But snow settling is unlikely since low temperatures and heavy rain could melt it, causing ice.
Starting Friday, the weather should get better, with temperatures rising by about two degrees. Expect temperatures between 17-18 degrees inland and 19-20 on the coast.
The heavy rain has really boosted dam levels. Yesterday morning, they were at 32%, but this morning they jumped to 43%. The Meteorological Service believes more rain in the next two days will raise levels even higher.
