Ioanna Fotiou, also known as Ann Alexoui, says in a social media video that the Cyprus Police tried to send her name to Interpol, but they couldn’t convince the organization.

She even shares proof that “the Cyprus Police was turned down by Interpol.”

The Central Secretariat of Interpol confirms that IOANNA FOTIOU, born on July 10, 1982, is not under an international Diffusion notice. This notice helps police in different countries locate or monitor a person and is not the same as an arrest warrant or exoneration.

To clarify, a Diffusion is just a way for police in different countries to communicate about locating or monitoring someone. It is not an arrest warrant or exoneration.

The Cyprus Police have not yet responded to Ms. Fotiou’s claims.
