The Cyprus Football Federation (CFF) released a statement about a violent incident on Saturday morning (07/02) in Limassol. This happened during a children’s league match when a coach was attacked.
Detailed Statement:
“We strongly condemn the violent incident that occurred on Saturday morning in Limassol during a children’s league match, where a coach was targeted. Violence is completely unacceptable, especially in events for children, and has no place in football.
The CFF is currently investigating the incident to find out what really happened. Any actions that break the law will be thoroughly looked into by the police.
We want to remind everyone that because there are many matches in children’s leagues, it’s not always possible to have a doctor at every game. Therefore, certified First Aid personnel are present at these events. Since this season began, team coaches have been trained to perform First Aid duties in partnership with the Ministry of Health.”
