Today is packed with events about education, the environment, local governance, culture, and sports across Cyprus.
From 08:30 to 14:00, Technical Schools in Cyprus welcome the public for ‘Open School Day.’ This event is organized by the Directorate of Secondary Technical and Vocational Education and Training of the Ministry of Education. Students and parents can check out workshops, specialties, and career paths in technical education.
At 10:00, the General Secretary of AKEL holds a press conference at the party’s offices in Nicosia. The focus is on the water crisis, a hot topic right now.
At the same time, the Municipalities of Strovolos and Latsia – Geriou are planting trees near Senior School, with the Minister of Agriculture attending. The initiative continues at 11:00 near Nuevo Campo fields. Here, they will open the Kalogiros River nature trail to promote environmental protection.
In Limassol, also at 10:00, the Municipality hosts a public consultation at the Municipal Cultural Center ‘Panos Solomonides.’ They will discuss traffic rules and one-way systems in Neapolis, with the Mayor joining in.
Just before noon at 11:55, the Deputy Minister of Tourism will speak at the Annual General and Electoral Assembly of the Cyprus Chefs Association at Royal Apollonia Hotel in Limassol. This meeting focuses on gastronomy and boosting tourism products.
In the afternoon at 14:30, at Lanitis Carob Mill, the Mayor of Limassol will attend ‘All4Kids Expo.’ This event is all about children, families, and modern services for them.
At 16:00 in Nicosia, the Deputy Ministry of Culture will showcase the updated permanent exhibition at the Cyprus Museum. The Deputy Minister of Culture and Director of the Department of Antiquities will speak to guests, followed by a tour and reception.
The day wraps up in Limassol tonight. At 19:30, the Mayor will join a dinner hosted by Olympic sailor Pavlos Kontides to support young talents through the ‘TowardsLA’ program. At 20:00, the Minister of Transport will represent the President of the Republic and give a short speech at Four Seasons Hotel, ending a busy day filled with events and social initiatives.
