Cyprus marked 25 March with a student parade in Nicosia as the centerpiece of national commemoration events.
Earlier, a thanksgiving service was held at Panagia Faneromeni Church in the presence of the President of the Republic, the Greek ambassador and other officials.
Participants included secondary school students, university and tertiary students, as well as scouts, veterans, sports clubs and trade union organizations.
The day’s message focused on linking historical memory with the values of freedom and civic responsibility.
Coverage also highlighted a US presidential proclamation for 25 March, emphasizing shared democratic traditions between Greece and the United States.
