Nikos Sykas, the Limassol MP, has announced that he is giving up his parliamentary immunity.
He said: “Even though the complaint has been withdrawn, I publicly resign from my parliamentary immunity. I want all actions under the Constitution and laws to proceed smoothly and quickly by the proper Authorities.”
This decision shows the MP’s commitment to transparency and following procedures, even with the complaint being dropped.
