The Cyprus Bank Oncology Center recently received double international recognition, reaccredited by the organization CHKS and certified with ISO 9001:2015, reaffirming once again the high quality and safety of the care provided.
The accreditation by CHKS, a globally recognized healthcare management organization in the United Kingdom, has been maintained uninterrupted since 2007, when the Center became the first hospital in Cyprus and Greece to receive it. Since then, the Oncology Center regularly renews its accreditation through triennial re-evaluations and annual inspections.
This double recognition confirms not only the high quality of care but also the effectiveness of the Center’s governance and quality assurance systems, according to internationally recognized standards. The process includes independent inspection by healthcare professionals, documented internal procedures, and continuous improvement across all departments.
The General Director of the Oncology Center, Mr. Panos Ergatoudis, stated: “This reaccreditation reflects our staff’s unwavering commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care. It strengthens the trust of patients and their families and ensures the high quality of care provided.”
The combined renewal of CHKS accreditation and ISO 9001:2015 certification enhances the role of the Oncology Center as a reference point for oncology care in Cyprus, emphasizing quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
