The Cyprus Police’s Drug Enforcement Agency is running a big operation in Nicosia. They aim to find and break up drug trafficking networks.
Reports say the agency found a large stash of drugs in one spot. It’s estimated to be around 100 kilograms of cocaine and cannabis. Authorities are working hard to identify those involved and check for connections. So far, two people have been arrested, and they found some cocaine and cannabis.
In a separate operation in Limassol, the Crime Prevention Unit searched the apartment of a 21-year-old based on tips. They discovered 263 captagon tablets under his bed, weighing about 44 grams. The young man was arrested for an immediate offense and taken to the Drug Enforcement Agency for questioning. He reportedly made some claims that are being looked into, while the agency continues its investigations into both cases.
